Requests

The Requests module is a structured inbox for employee requests that require manager or HR action — such as equipment requests, schedule changes, policy exceptions, or general queries.

Accessing Requests

Navigate to Dashboard → HR → Requests.

Request Table

Displays all employee requests with columns: title, requesting employee, request type, current status, submitted date, and last updated timestamp.

Request Statuses

  • Pending — submitted by the employee, awaiting HR or manager action.
  • In Progress — acknowledged and currently being processed.
  • Approved — request has been granted.
  • Rejected — request has been declined.
  • Completed — fully resolved with no further action required.

Viewing Request Details

Click any request row to open the full detail sheet on the right. This shows the complete request description, all previous action history, and any notes added by reviewers.

Taking Action on a Request

Use the action buttons in the request row or at the top of the detail sheet:

  • Approve — grant the request. You can add optional notes for the employee.
  • Reject — decline the request. A reason must be provided.
  • Mark In Progress — acknowledge receipt and signal that processing has begun.
  • Complete — mark the request as fully resolved.

The requesting employee is notified automatically when the status of their request changes.
